About CBSC

Cardwell Bay Sailing Club (CBSC) is a small friendly club. It was formed in 1906 by the owners of boats moored in Cardwell Bay to promote Cruising and Racing. Cardwell Bay is situated on the south shore of the Firth of Clyde at the east side of Gourock and bordering Greenock. The Bay provides sheltered mooring for CBSC Members and other boat owners. For more information about mooring in Cardwell Bay click on Moorings to the right.

Club racing takes place on a Monday evening starting with the Primary Points Series in April/May. There are two points series over the summer. Races start at 7.25pm. There are Thursday evening cup races through May, June and July.

We also have Saturday Cruises / Races through May and June where crews meet ashore for an after cruise/race muster. Members are encouraged to join the musters travelling by ferry or car if not sailing.

The highlight of the season is the regatta held at Cardwell Bay on the first or second Saturday of August with a social at the clubhouse after racing.
